Welcome to Yellow Creek Quilt Designs! I am the owner, Jill Shaulis, and I grew up in Pearl City, Illinois, the great little town where my quilt and gift shop has made its home in an historic turn-of-the-century bank building since 1992. When we were little girls, my sister and I walked to the same building – then the post office! – to pick up our family’s mail. Needless to say, the location holds precious memories for us and many other folks in our hometown. Over the past 28 years, the shop has evolved and grown dramatically. Today, Yellow Creek Quilt Designs offers:
Our shop has been featured in Better Homes & Gardens Quilt Sampler magazine and my patterns highlighted in several Primitive Quilts & Projects magazines. What an honor!
Our first book, Kindred Spirits, was published by Kansas City Star and my first fabric line under the same name, Kindred Spirits for Windham Fabrics, shipped in 2015. I’ve since designed several lines of Civil War Reproduction fabrics. I’m now designing for Robert Kaufman Fabrics as one of their first Civil War Reproduction designers. My newest line will be in shops August/September 2020. Check out the Mill Pond tab.
Windham Fabrics asked me to create a custom design for them in 2014, providing a big checkmark on my bucket list. I will be forever grateful for the opportunity and I haven’t stopped designing since! My passion for realistic Civil War-era patterns keeps me up at night, and I hope to generate the same inspiration to you. Join us and create beautiful gifts, unique décor for your home, and cherished family heirlooms. I now design civil war reproduction fabrics for Robert Kaufman Fabrics.
